Does stress affect the outcome of an IVF cycle?

OTO and Inception Fertility™ and its family of brands, including The Prelude Network®, are partnering in a research study investigating the impact (if any) stress has on IVF cycle outcomes. During the study, participants take daily measurements regarding physiological changes associated with stress, such as heart and brain activity, using an OTO device and a smartphone app. Using advanced sensor technology, the OTO device tracks and evaluates 54 physical responses to stress with medical grade accuracy.

Participant Requirements

Our OTO research study is open to women, ages 25-40, who are scheduled to undergo their first IVF and frozen embryo transfer (FET) cycle at a participating fertility clinic.

Participant must:

  • Have access to the internet and own a smartphone.
  • Be willing to wear the OTO device as directed and follow study protocol.
  • Individuals with a history of cardiac arrhythmia at any point in their lives or who have undergone cardiac surgery within the past year will be excluded from the study.

During the study
participants will:

Study Safeguards

The research team wants to guard against factors that could potentially influence or impact the study results. For these reasons:
